When I’m asked to lead a project, I start by grounding everyone in the same understanding of what we are trying to achieve. Not the version written in a proposal or scattered across messages, but the real goals, constraints, and expectations that will shape the work ahead.
In most Agile development projects I support, this also means gathering and translating requirements, clarifying user stories, and making sure both story owners and developers agree on what we can build before moving forward.

This is another part of my Shared Reality Practice. I make the work tangible and confirm that everyone is aligned before we move. Without this shared clarity, even the most detailed project plan will stall because people will work toward different outcomes.
